This paper examines whether multinational corporations (MNCs) are essential stakeholders in economic development. Over the years, MNCs have been considered necessary for achieving socioeconomic development, especially less developed countries (LDCs). However, some literature argues that presence of LDCs has limited benefits society. premised on notion they failed to help address social ills, such as unemployment, poverty, and inequality, able achieve undue influence with politics LDCs. employs stakeholder theory assess contribute development foster collaborative relations within their communities. used secondary data (through a review) collect relevant information.
